networking - Is it possible to ping through a NAT

The radio modem Ethernet link connects to the router interface with a public IP address, and the LAN connects to another interface of the router with a private IP address; a simple configuration. I know I can split the connection from the radio modem, and put it directly into my LAN switch, using the public network with my LAN hosts. It works fine. Assuming your client IP address is 1.1.1.1. The WAN_DMZ interface ip address is 2.2.2.1 and the inside server's IP address is 3.3.3.1. based on the PAT that you have, this is how it is going to look: TCP 3.3.3.1:20 on the inside is translated to appear as 2.2.2.1:20 on the WAN_DMZ interface. @Joe - ICMP is its own protocol under IP, just like TCP is also a protocol under IP. Mar 22, 2018 · So I added the un-NATted IP of the additional computer to the phase 2 selector. Then I created two more rules (one inbound and one outbound, without any NAT) for the additional computer, on the VPN interface. Either of the rule pairs will work as expected, if I disable the other two rules.
